Evaluation of final performance

  When I decided on my idea for my choreography, I wanted to create an impact. The story I am telling is dark and comes from a personal place therefore I wanted to show real emotion that would be readable by the audience. I created a base that I filmed, watched and edited, which was a productive process that allowed me to see what the audience sees and correct what I felt were flaws. I think the challenge I have faced most in this piece is to keep some vagueness in the story so that  the viewer can interpret it. My method of filming and watching back helped me overcome this and peer review gave me a real audience response. I think the emotional journey of the experience was really enlightening and I learned that I really enjoy choreography. I hope that I get to choreograph more in the future.
